The house was restored between 2004 & 2006. The exterior was brought back to its' original state, & interior systems were updated using green building'' processes where appropriate. Architectural elements were restored, & only reconstructed when they could not be salvaged. The layout of the house has been preserved & the rooms, plaster, woodwork & flooring restored to their original state. Extreme care was taken to remain consistent with the Craftsman style. The kitchen was re-built & beautifully reflects the period. The bathrooms have been completely updated with clawfoot tubs, period sinks, & historically relevant flooring & woodwork. Only one original light fixture remained, but served as inspiration to replace the missing fixtures. Door hardware was restored & re-installed & new window hardware has been used thru the house. Garage - H istorians believe the original garage pre-dated house. Details were carefully documented & new plans drawn for a slightly larger structure.
